Engaging your Students in Academic Integrity
Recent resource development in relation to Academic Integrity (AI) at Macquarie University has adopted an educative rather than a punitive approach. In this workshop, participants will be introduced to key findings from several research studies on student perspectives on AI, focussing on what confuses students with regards to acceptable and unacceptable academic behaviour. This workshop will consider strategies for exploring AI within a unit of study. The facilitators will also suggest effective assessment design for risk reduction around academic misconduct and student plagiarism in connection to assignments.
