About iLearn

iLearn ( is the system for online learning at Macquarie, enabling learning, teaching, communication and collaboration online. 

iLearn includes a number of different elements:

iLearn When you log on to iLearn, you may find lecture notes, readings, quizzes, discussion forums, and other learning resources and activities for your units, depending on what your lecturer has chosen to make available. At the core of iLearn is a product called Moodle.

Echo 360 Lecture Recordings 
Echo 360 is the system that makes lecture recordings available to you online.

Turnitin compares the text of electronically submitted assignments to databases of academic publications and other student assignments. If your Lecturer is using Turnitin, you will submit your assignments to Turnitin through iLearn. More info on Assignment submission
Grademark Some lecturers use a product within Turnitin called Grademark, to grade and provide feedback online.  You can access this through iLearn. More info on Grademark
Unit Guides
Unit Guides allows you to view published Unit Guides. View Unit Guides at
Zoom Web conferencing facilitates real-time online communication and collaboration. Zoom is Macquarie's web conferncing tool which provides video and voice comminication, text chat, interactive whiteboard, screen sharing and annotation. Zoom is very simple to usee and offers a wide variety of opportunities for learning and teaching such as real-time online tutorials, virtual consultations with students or including an external guest speaker in a lecture tec.
