Discover. Create. Innovate.

The Jim Piper Centre is part of the Faculty of Science and Engineering, and honors the legacy of the late Professor Jim Piper AM, former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and Professor of Physics at Macquarie University.

A pioneering leader in laser physics and passionate advocate for STEM education, Jim mentored generations of students and scientists.

The dynamic new space between buildings 14 SCO and 12 Wallys Walk at the heart of our science and engineering campus, has the theme of Discover, Create, Innovate and transforms this area into an interactive science hub with a Questacon-style atmosphere serving our university community and visitors.

The centre invites us all to Discover, Create, and Innovate, and to share the excitement of learning and exploration.
