Advancing health with nanosensor technology

Our research focuses on developing plasmonic sensing of disease biomarkers, cancer molecular profiling and personalised nanomedicine.

We focus on platform technologies that integrate rationally designed nanomaterials, advanced spectroscopy and sensor systems, with strong emphasis on translational diagnostics (from lab to clinic).

Our research areas

The Nanosensors research group advances plasmonic sensing and personalised nanomedicine through expertise in the following areas:

  • biosensors
  • multifunctional nanomaterials
  • nano-liquid biopsy for cancer diagnostics and personalised medicine
  • new molecular tool for direct reading of chemical modifications on DNA
  • single-cell glycomics.
