Engage with the centre
The Australian Harmony Centre for Ecosystem Futures (the Harmony Centre) develops evidence-based approaches to sustainable development and implementation of new global sustainability frameworks at a regional and local level.
The Harmony Centre welcomes all organisations and communities who would like to join us in transforming the relationship between nature and building health, biodiverse and resilient ecosystems in which communities can thrive. To learn more about how you can get involved in the opportunities outlined below, contact us at harmonycentre@mq.edu.au.
Partnerships
We work with our partners to achieve innovative on-ground solutions for nature repair. We welcome all organisations, traditional custodians, and researchers who work, hold an interest in, and would like to support the work of the Harmony Centre.
Engagement
We work with traditional custodians, industry and government to develop and embed evidence-based approaches to sustainable development and implementation of new global sustainability frameworks at a regional and local level. We do this through:
- accessible articles and reports
- annual colloquium series and networking events
- podcasts
- symposium series
- workshops.
Education and training
The Harmony Centre aims to develop a new generation of academics, policy makers and industry practitioners who will promote a nature-positive approach for the future. We offer:
- advanced interdisciplinary training and research opportunities for early career and higher degree research students, connected to industry and government partners
- embedded nature-repair and sustainability modules for undergraduate and postgraduate courses
- sustainability-focused comprehensive education packages for secondary schools.
