Scientists and engineers from Macquarie University will join and run a variety of activities and events across Sydney to celebrate Australia's annual National Science Week, from August 10-18.
At Open Day on August 10, our campus welcomes thousands of visitors - come along and tour our labs, meet our robots, check out the Planetarium. Then for the rest of Science Week, join us at various interactive workshops, lectures, and hands-on experiments, or come along to the range of events from Indigenous science experiences, to AI and microbiology discussions and more, aimed at making science engaging and accessible for all ages.
* Professor Joanne Jamie / Applied Bioscience team - Science in the Scrub: Two groups of Macquarie researchers will be sharing their work at this free family fun day out at Western Sydney Parklands on Sun 11 Aug.
- Professor Jamie and team will show hands-on experiments from Macquarie University’s National Indigenous Science Education Program
