Scholarships and prizes

Lucy Mentoring Program
Support women and gender-diverse talent in STEMM by becoming a mentor in the Lucy Mentoring Program. This program connects students with professionals who can help them build confidence, capability, and career direction.

Girls to Graduates Program
Contribute to equity and participation in STEMM through internships, networking, bespoke events, site visits, and panel sessions. This program supports girls and women from high school through to postgraduate study.
Student societies and initiatives
Partner with student societies and initiatives to foster leadership, innovation, and community. These opportunities provide visible, practical support for student development and engagement.
Here are some examples of our student societies:
- MARS (Macquarie Aerospace Rover Society) - a student led space robotics team designing and building a lunar-style rover. The rover is a multidisciplinary project that integrates mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, and software engineering.
- Macquarie Engineering Student Society - 700+ engineering student membership connecting students to the broader engineering community.
- MQ CyberSec - for students interested in cyber security participating in ethical hacking challenges, writeups and Capture the Flag competitions.
- MQ Speed Team - designing and constructing the fastest human powered vehicles in the world. This team has successfully held two world records.
