| Description | The Moyal Medal Committee and Macquarie University’s Faculty of Science and Engineering invite you to the 2025 Moyal Medal Presentation and Lecture, celebrating Professor Tamara Davis AM for her outstanding contributions to astrophysics and cosmology. Professor Davis, from the University of Queensland’s School of Mathematics, will receive the medal and deliver a public lecture titled “New Light on Dark Energy: The Mystery Deepens” on Thursday, 9 October. Her talk will explore the accelerating expansion of the universe and the role of dark energy in shaping our cosmos. The Moyal Medal is awarded annually by Macquarie University for research contributions to mathematics, physics or statistics – the areas of research of the late Professor José Enrique Moyal.
