WOMBAT community

Work Observation Method By Activity Timing (WOMBAT) has been used by research teams from across the world, including Australia, Canada, South Africa, the United Kingdom and the United States.

A primary aim of making the WOMBAT tool widely available is to build the evidence base:

  • regarding health professionals’ work and communication patterns,
  • how these are influenced by interventions such as the introduction of clinical information systems, and
  • how changes in work relate to efficient, safe and effective care.

Discover how WOMBAT supports researchers by exploring the case studies below, featuring published work from other WOMBAT users, or dive into the recent narrative review of studies using WOMBAT.
