UAE police officers study at Macquarie
The School of International Studies is proud to welcome 11 senior officers to the double master program in Criminology and Security Studies.
Building on a productive meeting with senior delegates from Abu Dhabi Police in 2025, the School of International Studies is proud to welcome 11 senior officers to the double master program in Criminology and Security Studies.
Facilitated by Dr Mariam Farida, this collaboration underscores the school’s commitment to fostering international partnerships that bridge academic excellence with professional expertise.
To celebrate the commencement of this significant partnership, the school hosted a special welcome event attended by:
- UAE Police Attaché Officer Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Alaryani
- Attaché Office Academic Advisor Abdulrazig Osman
- IGEC Director Hani Shadid.
The event exemplified Macquarie’s supportive and inclusive culture, welcoming the new students with a memorable start to their academic journey.
The partnership goes beyond enrolments. The Attaché’s office has signalled interest in discussing future enrolments in the school’s higher degree research programs, paving the way for broader collaboration.
With a strong focus on equipping international professionals to ethically address contemporary challenges in criminology and international security, Macquarie University continues to lead the way in global education and engagement.
