Launch of Taiwan Travel Grants
Macquarie launches Taiwan Travel Grants to support student study and cultural exchange, with funding from the Australia Taiwan Culture Foundation.

The Discipline of Global Cultures and Languages recently marked the launch of the inaugural Taiwan Travel Grants, an exciting initiative made possible through the generous support of the Australia Taiwan Culture Foundation. This program represents a meaningful step in strengthening educational and cultural ties between Australia and Taiwan through student mobility and community partnerships.
The launch event brought together key supporters, including Mr Edward Lin (CEO, Australia Taiwan Culture Foundation), Dr Mei-fen Kuo (Director, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Sydney), and grant recipient Holly Stapleton. It was a moment to reflect on the power of education, cross-cultural dialogue, and community engagement in creating real-world learning opportunities.
Two grants of AUD $3,500 are available to support undergraduate and postgraduate students participating in Taiwan-based language or culture programs, or relevant academic courses.
