The School of International Studies at Macquarie University invites you to the 51st Conference of the Australian Association for the Study of Religion (AASR), to be held 3–4 December 2026 at Macquarie University’s Gadigal Campus in Sydney.
This year’s theme Religion, Politics and Education: Thinking with Professor Marion Maddox builds on the legacy of Professor Maddox, whose work shaped national and international conversations on religion, public policy, and education.
The conference welcomes interdisciplinary contributions across areas including religion and public policy, secularism, education, gender, and climate and strongly encourages participation from Higher Degree Research (HDR) students.
The deadline for abstracts is 30 September 2026.
