Connect with us

Macquarie Law School is a bustling international community of scholars, students, alumni, practitioners, industry, government and partners who share a passion for progress.

Experiential learning

Our collaboration with legal professionals, industry partners and not-for-profit organisations helps us deliver highly relevant, practical learning experiences to our students. Our campus facility is a law hub that houses several clinics, and our students work with a variety of external organisations through PACE internship units.

Our exchange partnerships with 180 international universities also facilitate immersive learning experiences for students.

Research excellence

Partnerships and collaborative projects are at the heart of our Law School’s research, motivated by our core mission of contributing to positive change.

Our scholars work with stakeholders, regulators, practitioners and industry players in their fields of expertise. Advisory groups ensure our research priorities offer strategic value. Contact us if you would like more information, or have a proposal or enquiry.

Researcher exchange

Macquarie Law School offers self-funded domestic or international visiting academics or professionals an opportunity for exchange with our researchers.

Visitors are expected to contribute to the academic and student life of the law school, for example by:

  • giving a seminar talk or guest lecture
  • engaging in joint research activities with law school staff.

Where possible, visitors are provided with a workspace and library access.

Visitors from outside Australia are responsible for obtaining any necessary visa or insurance.

Visitors are hosted by one of our law school academic staff members and are therefore encouraged to communicate with their host prior to an application.

Interested visitors should contact macquarielawschool@mq.edu.au with the following:

  • a support letter or email from their host academic
  • a recent CV
  • a brief statement (no more than 500 words) outlining the proposed activities and the expected contributions to the law school.
