When you lose someone close to you, a donation to Macquarie University will honour your loved one and help their memory live on.
Your gift can be used to support the area of greatest need, or can be to a specific fund or program.
How to make a gift in Memory of your loved one?
In making a gift, you are not only supporting vital research programs, important community programs and shaping the lives of our students, but you are recognising and honouring your loved ones in a very special way.
When you make an In Memory donation, Macquarie University will send you a letter of acknowledgement to the bereaved family to let them know that you have made a gift to support the future of our community.

How to organise a donation collection at a funeral?
If you wish your guests to make a gift to Macquarie University in lieu of flowers at a funeral, we have a complimentary pack to assist you.
The standard pack contains a guide to help you arrange, collect and return donations, as well as 30 ‘In Memory’ donation forms

You may wish to include this request in your loved one’s death notice. Please consider the following wording:
‘Memorial contributions may be made to Macquarie University. Please send your gift to (cause e.g. MND Research) in memory of (name). Gifts may be made online at www.mq.edu.au/donate, or by mail'
