Juliette is not your typical teenager; she’s already on her way to changing the world. At just 11 years old, and profoundly affected by the loss of her grandfather to motor neurone disease (MND), she founded CSJ leMoNaiD, a company that aims to find a cure by raising funds for MND research at Macquarie University.
Armed with a mission to ‘stop MND in its tracks through the power of sour’ Juliette bottled her recipe in her Mum’s kitchen and began selling it at an organic market in Sydney. Her concoction is now bottle by an Australian company and is available nationwide.

MND is a fatal neurological disease which typically strikes young, fit, healthy people seemingly at random.
Not willing to sit by and not take action, Matt approached Macquarie University with an idea to raise $50,000 to support the MND Research Centre at Macquarie University. His idea – to invite firefighters to climb the Sydney Tower Eye in full 20kg firefighting uniform.
Over the past three years, $1.3 million has been raised by firies enabling the MND Research Centre to progress its research by leaps and bounds.
MND is a brutal disease for which there is no treatment or cure……..yet. Research is the only tool there is to understand and overcome MND. Find out more about the Fire fighters climb for MND.
Their premiere event, Christmas in July Charity Ball has been a huge success and over the past four years, they have raised over $1.1 million to fund 7 cancer researchers for a period of 12 months each.
Macquarie University Cancer Program have been one of the chosen beneficiaries for the money raised, and this has helped fund research into immunotherapy for melanoma.
