We want Macquarie University graduates to remain active in our incredibly diverse alumni community.

Stay connected with us through the Alumni Web Community (check your details now). You can choose to receive email notifications, Macquarie Matters e-magazine and Sirius Magazine from our Alumni team; RSVP to attend an event; or volunteer at graduations and other events.

Macquarie alumni are also entitled to suite of exclusive benefits provided by the University and its commercial partners. It's an extra incentive to reconnect with your alma mater.

Access to online resources from Macquarie University Library

As a graduate of Macquarie, you are entitled to free lifetime membership of Macquarie University Library, including borrowing privileges and special access to online databases and ebooks.

To gain special alumni access to Macquarie University Library online resources:

  1. Register for Macquarie University Library membership. Select 'Macquarie University Alumni' as the category and 'Alumni (Macquarie University)' as the reason for membership.
  2. Follow instructions in the automated email to create your OneID login and password. This will give you access to all databases available to alumni (see 'Alumni databases A-Z').

Remote access may be limited due to publishers' agreements. These databases may be used off-campus by Macquarie alumni for personal noncommercial use. Use of these resources for commercial gain is not permitted. If you visit Macquarie University Library in person, you will have full access to all databases using the library computers.

Borrowing from Macquarie University Library

As a graduate of Macquarie, you are entitled to free lifetime membership of Macquarie University Library, including borrowing privileges and special access to online resources.

To borrow resources from the Macquarie University Library:

  1. Register for Macquarie University Library membership. Select 'Macquarie University Alumni' as the category and 'Alumni (Macquarie University)' as the reason for library membership.
  2. Follow instructions in the automated email to create your OneID login and password. This will give you access to all databases available to alumni (see 'Alumni databases A-Z').
  3. Collect your Alumni Campus Card in person from Student Connect 18 Wally's Walk, Level 2 Building C7A MUSE (Monday to Friday 8.30 am–5.30 pm). Macquarie does not mail out cards, for privacy reasons. You must show your alumni library membership confirmation email and one form of photo identification (driver's license, passport, proof of age card) to Student Connect when you collect your card.

Alumni library members may borrow an unlimited number of items for 16 weeks.

CareerHub

Macquarie's Career and Employment Service is offered to all current students during their studies and up to 12 months after they graduate. Graduates can register as alumni in CareerHub to Macquarie's career services:

  • employment opportunities – casual, graduate, international, volunteer, work experience
  • career events – career planning, interviews, resume writing
  • career information – presentations from past employers, sample resumes and fact sheets.

Career Advantage MQ Program

For the special alumni price of $195 (standard price $900), an appointment with Career Advantage MQ will help you take the next step in your profession. This vocational service is delivered by Masters of Organisational Psychology provisional psychologists (supervised by endorsed organisational psychologists) using the latest career assessment tools.

The University's official Young Alumni Network connects you with other young Macquarie alumni across the globe. Speech and Hearing Clinic alumni discount

Audiology and speech pathology staff in the Speech and Hearing Clinic of Macquarie University provide expertise in clinical practice and clinical education at a discounted price for Macquarie alumni. Mention that you are a graduate of Macquarie when booking.

Sport and Aquatic Centre discount

Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre is open 7 days and offers membership to Macquarie graduates at a discounted price. Enquire about alumni membership.

Waiver of application fee for non-award study at Macquarie

Most units listed in the Macquarie Handbook can be studied for interest or self-development without having to enrol in a degree. Macquarie alumni will not have to pay an application fee when they enrol in a non-award study unit to enhance their professional skills.
