But where do you start apart from deleting and untagging those ‘drunk at a party’ photos? Do you need a website or just a LinkedIn Profile? How can you be one step ahead of the competition?

At this interactive workshop, we got to hear insiders' tips and tricks on:

  • online and offline networking
  • the do’s and don’ts on social media
  • website design principles so you can build your digital archive and brand
  • making keywords do the work for you
  • digital literacy, competence and influence

Guest Speaker:

  • Sue Ellson - Business, Careers and LinkedIn Specialist; Trainer; Author; and Consultant

The key to Financial Literacy is knowledge

Modern living is complicated, and nothing is so complicated as your own finances. From super to savings, and investments to interest rates it’s easy to lose track of our own financial health.

Studies have consistently shown that Australians’ financial literacy is poor. The 2017 Financial Capability Survey reveals that only 35% of all Australians know the exact value of their superannuation.

Being financially literate is simply understanding and managing your money. Knowing about your finances alone isn't enough to improve your financial health; it's about how you use that knowledge.

Together with expert advisers we will dive into real-world financial scenarios and explore fundamental ideas that we can use in our everyday lives.

In teams, you will come up with a solution to the scenario and give a short 3-minute pitch in front of a panel of accomplished (but friendly) experts.

Industry Experts:

  • Renata Das MAF (2013) – Adviser, JBWere
  • Tony Ng BComm(Acctg) (2010) – Property Investment Strategist, Ironfish
  • Hamid Yahyaei BAF (2016) – Credit Research Analyst, Spectrum Asset Management

Master of Ceremonies:

  • Jessica Xu BeBus (2012) – HR Generalist, Oscar Wylee
