Cyber Security: A Global Priority

Did you know that cyber security is one of Australia's national security priorities?

National security, economic prosperity and social wellbeing rely on the availability, integrity and confidentiality of a range of information and communications technology.

As our world continues to interconnect, cyber security is becoming a priority for economic growth that requires collaboration between corporate businesses, government, researchers and the education sector.

Whilst computer intrusion and the spread of malicious code poses high risks to users worldwide, an increase in the scale, sophistication and perpetration of cybercrime has made it increasingly difficult to identify and defeat.

Global Alumni Impact Series in Brisbane will showcase the power of cyber security and its implications on an international scale. We’ll explore strategies corporate businesses and governments need to adopt to protect critical information infrastructure. Register now!

The panel will discuss major challenges facing global cyber security today and exchange ideas on the ways private and public stakeholders work together to combat cyber threats. Through strong cyber security we will be able to enable innovation, growth and prosperity for all Australians.

Following the discussion, you will have the opportunity to network with the panellists, academics, alumni and friends of the University.

This event is proudly sponsored by Macquarie University. Drinks and canap├ęs will be provided.
