A Participatory Action Researcher (PAR) promoting evidenced-based reflective practice for learning in Higher Education

Dr Marina Harvey convenes and teaches postgraduate students at Macquarie University on Critically Reflective Practice in Higher Education where she explores her interests in reflective practice and action research. She also convenes the Foundations (in Learning and Teaching) program which incorporates reflective practice as an integral component.

Marina's research interests are interrelated and aligned with her teaching and professional development foci, all of which are underpinned by critically reflective practice in higher education.

As an academic developer, her two key research and teaching strands are identified as:

  1. reflective practice in higher education; which underpins
  2. leading quality learning and teaching in higher education.

Her work on developing a new approach to mentoring for learning and teaching in higher education has been recognised with the awarding of:
