  • Associate Professor in Physiotherapy, A/Director Doctor of Physiotherapy Program
  • Joined Macquarie University in July 2012, initially as a tutor and later as a lecturer.
  • Awarded PhD from Macquarie University in 2016, and BAppSc(Phty) from The University of Sydney in 1998
  • Substantial clinical experience working in both public and private sectors across predominantly neurological and musculoskeletal domains.
  • Main area of expertise is in managing complex cases resulting from significant neurological and orthopaedic trauma. 
  • Involved in clinical student and staff education, as well as contributing to many research projects and rating for PEDro (Physiotherapy Evidence Database).
  • Awarded a Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship to undertake her PhD in Health Professions (Dec 2012).
  • Awarded Vice Chancellor's Award for Teaching Excellence (Early Career), 2016 & FMHS Student led Teaching Award 2017.
  • Awarded over $200,000 in grant funding, including industry partnership with Happy Body at Work, commissioned by ABC Commercial.
  • Research interests include development & testing of interventions to support behaviour change and self-management, particularly in regards to physical activity, neurological rehabilitation strategies, corporate health and wellbeing, and prevention and management of chronic health conditions across the lifespan.
