Emeritus Professor Arthur Delbridge, founding Professor of Linguistics at Macquarie, passed away on Friday 3rd October. He is fondly remembered not only for his ground breaking work in many areas of Australian linguistics, including as Editor in Chief of the Macquarie dictionary, but also for his personal qualities as a leader and colleague.
