Biography

Yves-Heng's work focuses on Asia-Pacific security dynamics and on China's evolving role in the region. He is the author of China's Naval Power: An Offensive Realist Approach (Surrey: Ashgate, 2014). His research has been published in the Journal of Strategic Studies, the Journal of Contemporary China, Pacific Focus and China: an International Journal.  Before joining the Department of Security Studies and Criminology, Yves-Heng was an assistant professor at Fujen Catholic University (Taiwan).
