Dr Lance Eccles

IS - Dr Lance Eccles JPGDr Eccles has a PhD from the University of Sydney, and has published articles on the literature and history of the Northern and Southern Dynasties period. He has published two books on the Shanghai dialect, and one on Coptic, and has co-authored a book on the Tetum language of East Timor. He is one of the editors of the journal Studies in Languages and Cultures of East Timor. He is currently involved in a project on Manichean studies in China, which involves him in reading texts in Syriac and Old Turkic.

Nestorianism in China, Coptic language.
