Macquarie university campus

Macquarie University is located about 16 kilometres north-west of the Sydney CBD, and the campus is set on extensive grounds which include natural bushland.

Macquarie University is served by the Macquarie University railway station, which opened in 2009, as well as by a bus interchange within the campus that provides close to 800 bus services daily. The M2 Motorway runs parallel to the northern boundary of the campus and is accessible to traffic from the University.

Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre

Situated on the western side of the campus, the Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre, which opened in 2007, includes a 50 metre outdoor pool and 25 metre indoor pool. The complex also contains a gymnasium and squash, badminton, basketball, volleyball and netball courts.

Macquarie Shopping Centre

The Macquarie Shopping Centre is a 15-minute walk away from the conference venue, and offers a cinema complex as well as shopping and dining possibilities. Further dining possibilities are available within a 1-kilometre radius of the University, including at some local hotels.
