Collaborative partnership with NextSense

A purpose built, state-of-the-art facility is being developed on the University campus.

This new facility will enable NextSense (formally the Royal Institute of Deaf and Blind Children) to deliver new models of school education for children with hearing and vision loss.

The building is being funded by NextSense from the proceeds of the sale of its headquarters in North Rocks.  This building will be the new Australian headquarters for NexSense, bringing its education, research and administration onto campus to expand the University's hearing enterprise along with its existing partner, Cochlear.

It will cement existing collaborative work underway with the University and strengthen existing partnerships as well as co-locating with a cluster of research, education and audiology.

Works commenced in January 2022 and the project is anticipated to be completed in the second half of 2023.
