Workshop in July for researchers
Workshop for researchers on knowing where to present and publish
Register now for Waranara Library's workshop in July for researchers:
From Conferences to Journals: Recognising predatory practices
Tuesday, 7 July | 10.00am to 11.00am
Knowing where to present and publish is critically important for Graduate Research students.
Predatory conferences often mimic legitimate academic events but lack genuine peer review, credible programme committees, and proper scholarly oversight.
Join this session hosted by two Faculty Librarians.
- Learn how to identify predatory conferences
- Share practical tools and strategies to avoid them
- Discuss key aspects of predatory publishing.
The session is aimed at graduate research students who can be targeted by predatory conference organisers. The session flags major aspects of predatory publishing but is not intended as an in-depth exploration of publishing options.
