PACE – Designing WIL to Enhance Graduate Employment Prospects

This seminar will discuss how WIL (Work Integrated Learning) can enhance key elements of student employability, more specifically professional identity and skills in career self-management. It will explore how WIL can be designed to enable students to develop a ‘sense of being a professional’, in addition to helping them understand their career aspirations and the various pathways to achieving them.

There will also be a review of recent empirical research, using Australian Graduate Survey data, on the influence of WIL on employment and underemployment among recent graduates.

The seminar will be facilitated by Associate Professor Denise Jackson, a visiting scholar from Edith Cowan University and leading researcher in employability and work-integrated learning.
