The International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia will be held this year by the Queer Collective on Thursday 16 May.   This is a day to raise awareness of violence, discrimination, and repression of LGBT communities worldwide. The Macquarie University Queer Collective will be holding events across the day and invite all Students, Staff and anyone interested in learning more about IDAHOBIT to come along.

Events on the day:

10 am – 2 pm QueerGalleries and Bake Sale Being held in front of the MUSE building

1 pm – 3 pm Gender Expression and Make Up Session Queer Collective have invited queer makeup artist Beau Khuu to Queerspace to help trans/gender diverse/others who are interested make up tips (includes facial feminization and ‘how to make up 101’).  If you are interested in participating in the this session please ensure to bring your own makeup brushes.

4 pm – 6 pm Drag Trivia at UBAR Featuring two drag artists to host the evening.  They will be coming as Sexy ScoMo and Glam Gladys. This is an open event and all are welcome.

6 pm – 8 pm Queer Stories At UBAR Queer students from Macquarie University will be telling their stories on stage.
