We can help you enhance the physical education of your students giving them access to our venues and an array of different sports that they may not be provided within the school grounds. Each sport offered is under the guidance of qualified coaches & instructors.

The Macquarie University Sport Fields provide over seven hectares of specialist playing areas, including one of the largest AFL ovals in Sydney. Want to know more?
Macquarie University Lighthouse Theatre: Gymnasium Road, Macquarie University, North Ryde
A space for theatre productions, rehearsals, workshops, seminars, comedy nights or presentation evenings, the Lighthouse Theatre is located adjacent to the Sport and Aquatic Centre.

Wet weather policy: In the circumstance of a School Sport outdoor facility booking and wet weather, notice when possible will be given a minimum of two hours prior to the session should it be cancelled. If the session is cancelled on behalf of Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre no charge will incur. If the booking is forfeited on behalf of the School, the fee will remain as quoted originally.
What sports and activities are on offer?
The emphasis of the School Sport program is on the acquisition of gross motor skills as well as teaching the students the basic skills specific to the chosen sport through fun games and skills development. There are team sports which encourage the students to work together to accomplish an ultimate goal, or singular activities which focus on individual skill progression. All sports/activities offered with the School Sport program are fully adaptable to the needs of the School.

- Group Fitness – Aqua, Bootcamp, Body pump, Cycle, Hula Hooping, Yoga and Pilates, Zumba and many more.
- Martial Arts
- Rugby League
The team of coaches and teachers will teach an ideal balance of swimming skills, water safety and water confidence in a safe, friendly environment. The team will take into account the different levels of swimming skills shown by the students.
Our Swim School is a Swim Australia registered swim school and all of our teachers are AUSTSWIM accredited and hold First Aid Certificates.

Coaches and instructors
With over 16 Sport Clubs on campus and a strong University Sport representative program we have access to a number of qualified and accredited coaches who can deliver a wide variety of school sport and recreational activities. Students will be taught the skills, drills and requirements of the selected Sport or Recreational activity as well as encouraging team work, friendship, motivation to improve their technical skills. All coaches have current First Aid certifications as well as Working with Children Check’s.

A School must submit a Public Liability received from the Department of Education and the Sport and Aquatic Centre Terms and Conditions of Hire.
Prices are based on per student with a minimum of 20 students per sport and there are no additional costs for instructors. If groups are below the minimum 20 students, a price on application is provided in order to cover venue costs, administration costs and contractor costs. Higher priced activities reflect a higher staff to student ratio, specialised instructor or equipment costs or facilities.
School Sport - 2020
Parkour (minimum 15) - $17.50
Multi Sport (any sport offered) - $10.50
* These prices are based on per student with a minimum of 20 students per sport. If groups are below the minimum 20 students, a price on application is provided to cover venue costs, administration costs and contractor costs Gymnastics, Learn to Swim, Parkour and MUSEC all require a higher staff to student ratios hence the higher price. Martial Arts and Aqua are more specialised sports and require specific equipment and venue space
