Gymnastics Holiday Classes

Throughout these school holidays, Gymnastics will be offering a variety of gymnastics specific workshops and other fun activities designed to teach your child technical gymnastics skills and also ensure they have lots of fun with friends!

Monday, Wednesday and Friday sessions will run for three hours and will focus on drills and skills for three apparatus' each day. Participants will enjoy improving their motor skills and building their gymnastics ability in a fun and safe environment.

Tuesday and Thursday sessions will be an extended full day offer including, a three apparatus focus, a tumbling clinic, arts and craft, gymnastics games and some relaxation time to hang with friends in the sessions.

To complement the full day gymnastics holiday program we will be offering before and after program care options for added flexibility to working parents. This must be booked separately to the program booking.

Each day participants will be split into a beginner or experienced group when working on the apparatus and tumbling clinics. During the other parts of the day, the group will enjoy activities together!

In addition to the usual half and full day offerings, a TeamGym intensive class will run on Wednesdays, which is open to all. TeamGym is great for those that love to work in a team, dance and tumble.

Swimming Holiday Classes

Get ready for warmer weather as we are heating up for Summer. Throughout these school holidays, Swim School will be running one on one private lessons to help improve your child’s progression in the pool. The lessons will be tailored to your child’s need to get the most out of each class.  Classes will run for 20-minutes with one student in the class with the instructor.

Learn to Swim classes must be booked for the whole week, not individual days.

COVID-19 Guidelines for Holiday Programs

By entering the Centre you agree to adhere to our COVIDSafe Terms and Conditions, which specify conditions of entry to the centre. We ask that you:

  • I will not attend MUSAC if I am feeling unwell.
  • I will produce my membership card upon entry and scan on exit to enable the recording of accurate attendance records.
  • I understand I must limit my time in the Centre, arriving 5 mins before my class is due to start and will leave immediately after my class.
  • I will take personal responsibility for social distancing by adhering to dedicated floor markings and seating made available.
  • I will avoid congregating prior to the start of lessons and in change rooms / showers after the lesson.
  • I understand there is a limit of ONE caregiver spectator per participant permissible due to venue capacity restrictions in MUSAC.
  • I will use hand sanitiser as I enter the Centre.
  • I will practice social distancing and keep 1.5m away from others when in the Centre.
  • I will follow instruction of staff when in the Centre.
  • I will limit unnecessary physical contact with others, no handshakes, high fives, hugs etc.
  • I will come prepared to training, and bring all my own training gear and take it home with me, (e.g. goggles, towel).
  • I will bring and use my own drink bottle and not share with others (No fountain available).
  • I will not spit while I am within the Centre.
  • If I need to use the toilet, I will wash my hands for at least 20 seconds afterwards with soap and water.
  • I will stay at home if I am unwell and not risk the health of my teammates and coaches.

Terms and Conditions for Holiday Programs

1. The MQ Sport and Recreation Holiday Programs is a program of U@MQ Ltd. which is governed by the laws in force in the State of New South Wales.

2. The MQ Sport and Recreation Holiday Programs reserves the right to cancel any session with a minimum of 5 working days’ notice. Parents/Guardians will be notified of any cancellations and a full refund will be issued.

3. Any data collected for marketing purposes will be strictly in accordance with the Privacy of Information Act.

4. No refunds are payable for cancellation by the Parent/Guardian. Alternatively and subject to availability, the student may transfer to a different class during the same holiday period or the following holiday period.

5. Refunds in case of medical condition:

Medical certificate provided: 50% refund of ticket prices is payable for cancellation by the Parent/Guardian. Alternatively, and subject to availability, the student may transfer to a different class during the same holiday period or the following holiday period.

No medical certificate provided: Subject to availability, the student may transfer to a different class during the same holiday period or the following holiday period.

6. Parents/Guardians are responsible for ensuring they inform the MQ Sport and Recreation Holiday Programs staff if their child has any special needs or medical/dietary requirements prior to their child attending any sessions.

7. Unless in an emergency and/or in line with an approved medical Action Plan, medication will only be administered if the Parent/Guardian has completed the Permission to Administer Medication Form or Permission to Self-Administer Medication Form and provided it to the MQ Sport and Recreation Holiday Programs staff. The Administration of Medication Policy is available on the MQ Sport and Recreation Holiday Programs website.

8. The MQ Sport and Recreation Holiday Programs staff may alter activities on the day of the class depending on student interest, weather, or other unavoidable situation. Advertised activities may not always go ahead as planned. Alternative activities and lessons on the day of the class will be provided where this is the case.

9. Parents/Guardians are responsible for picking up their child during the allocated pick up time. If Parents/Guardians are late to collect their child, a $20 fee will be charged for 1-30 minutes late and an additional $1 per minute will be charged for any time over 30 minutes.

10. This ticket is your Tax Invoice for U@MQ Ltd (ABN 27 125 926 169) and is inclusive of GST.

11. By signing this form I agree that anyone entering the centre (myself, my child, caregive) will not enter the centre if :

  • They  have returned from overseas in the last 14 days
  • They have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days
  • They have fever or symptoms of acute respiratory infection (e.g. cough, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath);
  • They have been in contact with anyone who has contracted or tested positive to COVID-19;
  • They have been in a COVID-19 'hot spot'.
