Single Style Membership - Choose any style (Brazilian Jujitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing, Boxing or Taekwondo)

  • $35.00 p/ftn for members (only attend classes for one style)
  • $40.00 p/ftn for students/staff (only attend classes for one style)
  • $45.00 p/ftn for community (only attend classes for one style)

Double MA Styles BJJ/Muay Thai membership

  • $40.00 p/ftn for members (only attend BJJ/ Muay Thai classes)

Brazilian jujitsu

Brazilian jujitsu (BJJ) is a martial art, combat sport and self-defence system that emphasises ground fighting techniques that focuses on position, control and submissions such as chokes, arm locks and leg locks. BJJ utilises natural body leverage and proper technique to obtain dominant control on the ground and, as a result, provides greater position for striking or submission holds.

Boxing

Boxing is a combat sport involving attack and defence with the fists, a contest of strength, speed, reflexes and endurance. A high intensity sport, this program is all about learning the proper techniques of boxing mainly without the use of bags and pads and more focused on partner work and sparring. Learn in a fun, collaborative environment.

Muay Thai kickboxing

Muay Thai Kickboxing is one of the most exciting striking styles in existence. Combining elbows, knees, kicks and punches. You will develop a blend of techniques to add to your stand-up skills and grappling techniques.

Taekwondo

Taekwondo is a Korean martial art that combines combat techniques, self-defence, sport, exercise, and in some cases meditation and philosophy. Macquarie University offers both a beginner and intermediate/advanced courses to ensure participants get the best outcomes out of each training sessions.

Monday 1:00pm – 2:00pm
Wednesday 1:00pm – 2:00pm, 2:00pm - 3:00pm (sparring)
Thursday - 6:00pm - 7:00pm (striking/kicking)
Friday 1:00pm – 2:00pm, 2:00pm - 3:00pm (sparring)
