Description

Swimming is an integral part of Australian culture. At Macquarie University we believe that everyone, no matter their age or background, should have the opportunity to learn to swim. Our mission is to teach this life changing skill and equip our members, and the people they care for, with the confidence to live a safe and healthy life.

MQ Sport is seeking learn to swim instructors with exceptional customer service skills to build and foster positive relationships with children and their parents and who are passionate about teaching a life-long skill.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Teach swimming and water safety lessons in a fun and inclusive environment
  • Utilise innovative teaching techniques, to encourage skill progression and ensure all students receive maximum benefit from each lesson
  • Ensure the safety and supervision of members, ranging from ages 3 years  and over, engaged in swim school activities

What you should bring:

  • Passion for aquatics and commitment to provide quality member service
  • AUSTSWIM or Swim Australia qualification
  • Current CPR certificate, Working with Children Check and National Police Check
  • Flexibility to work across a range of shifts within the Swim Schools operating hours
  • Willingness to comply with and carry out all implemented Work Health and Safety related activities and processes

Essential Requirements

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR
  • Qualified Swim Teacher
  • Working with children check
