Engage with us
We are a thriving department of more than 60 internationally recognized and award-winning staff with a broad range of teaching and research interests spanning both the applied and theoretical study of the biological, cognitive, and social bases of mind and behaviour.
Our department is home to two Macquarie University Research Centres, the Centre for Emotional Health (CEH) and the Centre for Elite Performance, Expertise, and Training (CEPET), and has a variety of resources available for conducting state-of-the-art research, including two fully functional on-campus clinics and a host of laboratory facilities for brain imaging (fMRI, MEG, EEG), eye tracking, and both behavioural and neuroscientific experiments.
With regards to teaching, our undergraduate degree programs include a capstone unit with field placements (PACE), and a fourth-year Honours degree, while our post-graduate degree programs include four professional Masters degrees (Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology, Organisational Psychology, and Professional Psychology), and two higher-degree research degrees (MRes and PhD).
And as anyone who has visited Macquarie University can attest, our campus provides a beautiful environment in which to study, being located in one of Sydney’s most vibrant and multicultural neighbourhoods, North Ryde.
