Incubator solving real life business problems for GoGet and United Networks

How can car company GoGet and telco group United Networks collaborate to stay relevant within their business ecosystem?  What new business models do both companies need to come up with when there’s disruption all around them.  These were the business challenges posed to 30 Macquarie University students at the new Incubator facility this week. Students were given 30 hours to come up with social and business concepts for the two companies that were presented to the judging panel: Macquarie University Associate Dean International and Corporate Engagement Philomena Leung, GoGet Head of Business Solutions Keith Forbes and United Networks CEO Nicholas Ghattas. “The future is going to be different. There is uncertainty, disruption and maybe students will need to build their own careers. Students needed to think about the social, business and economic stakeholders in their problem solving for the two companies,” Dr Leung said. For their efforts, the three winning teams “Rize Consulting”, “Macquarie Consulting Club” and  “Get United”  took home prizes totalling $3,000. GoGet provided free student membership and United Networks free sim cards to all the Incubator participants.
