KPMG is giving you the opportunity to have your most innovative ideas heard by industry experts, with the KPMG Essay Award for Innovative Thinking about Countering Australia’s National Security and Cyber Threats and Challenges.
Students will have the opportunity to write a research essay of between 3000 and 3500 words on one of two topics related to either cyber security or national security. The winning entries for each question will receive $1000, with the 2nd and 3rd place-getters receiving $500 and $300, respectively. Winners will be announced in September at an event attended by prominent members of the Australian Government and private industry. The best submissions will also be considered for publication by KPMG.
Further information is provided on the link below, and questions will be made available shortly. Internal students will also receive a hardcopy flyer with the questions and the award terms and conditions. Students will have until the 24th of June at 3pm to submit their papers. No late entries will be accepted. Papers will be reviewed by a blind panel comprising KPMG subject matter experts, Macquarie University Professors and representatives from the Australian Government and Industry.
Entries are open to current postgraduate students from the Department of Security Studies and Criminology (DSSC) only.
