Student prizes

Macquarie University Student Faculty Prizes celebrate achievement by recognising and rewarding student success in a given field of study. Prize winners receive a certificate and the prize is recorded on their academic transcript and Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS).

Thanks to the generous support of our corporate partners, the Department of Marketing currently rewards academic excellence of marketing students in the following units.

“I am a proud alumni member of Macquarie University. I attended Macquarie University for my undergraduate and postgraduate studies and it is at the university where I developed the idea for my online business. I started my business, OLIVIA&CO., in 2016. OLIVIA&CO. is an online retailer selling personalised accessories. We run on multiple e-channels and have grown from having three products to a range of over 100 product lines. I started my career in accounting, and if I hadn't completed my Master of Commerce – Marketing at Macquarie University, I would never have discovered my passion for business, entrepreneurship and online marketing. It provided the stepping-stone I needed to launch my business. I would love to be able to give back to the Macquarie University community by donating prizes to students in online marketing.”

Number of scholarships: Two per year; one scholarship is reserved for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student.

Scholarship first available: Session 2, 2019 (first cohort to include students who first enrolled in Session 1, 2019)
