LIFT alumni mentoring

Macquarie Business School is pleased to announce the upcoming launching of LIFT, an online mentoring program for alumni. LIFT stands for Leadership, Involvement, Friendship, Transformation.

In these unprecedented times, the LIFT program provides an opportunity for our alumni community to continue to come together and support one another.

The aim of LIFT is to allow multiple alumni flash mentoring partnerships amongst the dynamic Macquarie Business School alumni community of business leaders, industry professionals, entrepreneurs and innovators on strategies for success.

With the one-time format, mentees can learn from a variety of individuals with expertise in varying industries and professions.

Stand by to receive an invitation to join the community and learn, share and grow with LIFT.

To express your interest to join or for further information please email

“Leaders often tell me they need a mentor to progress.

My advice to them is to simply choose five people over twelve months who they could learn from and invite them to lunch! The LIFT Program provides a platform for alumni to do just that…maybe minus the lunch!

If you can take just one insight away from a conversation, you’ll be one step closer to achieving your goals.”

"Some of the best advices I have received in my career came from mentorship, either formal or informal.

Whether you are a young professional who is just starting to build a dream career or an accomplished veteran who is thinking about giving and helping the younger generations, look no further to start a mentorship program.

You will be amazed with the rewards."

“Mentoring is a great way to share experiences and learn from others.

It provides an opportunity for Mentees to ask questions in a safe environment, and for Mentors to share their business and career experience and get an insight of the challenges and decisions that mentees are facing.

I have been involved in a number of mentoring programs in the past and have always enjoyed the interaction and learning.  It is great to provide guidance for mentees through the recruitment process, and there is nothing better than to hear a mentee has been offered a new job.

Get involved!”

“Mentorship is a two way mutually rewarding street about sharing wisdom.  It is about showing up to give and showing up to learn.

I am always grateful to see the world from a different point of view, to give back and learn from others as much as I am grateful to see someone thrive and succeed because of my guidance and because I genuinely believe in them.

So, whether you choose to be a mentor or a mentee or both I truly hope you will let these wise words guide you:

You are always one decision away from a totally different life.”
