Associate Professor Michael Dobbie is an economist with an interest in applied and policy focused research on the Australian labour market. He has published in domestic and international journals on topics such as; insider-outsider theory, employment stability, internal labour markets, returns to various forms of labour market experience, union wage effects, union effects on workplace training and the determinants of individual union membership. Michael has taught across a wide spectrum of undergraduate and postgraduate economics units over the years.
