Macquarie Business School was created in 2018, integrating the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE), Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) and Macquarie Applied Finance Centre (MAFC) into a single clear structure. Macquarie Business School is the focal point for all business, management and economics research and education at Macquarie. Our integrated curriculum and multidisciplinary approach give future leaders the skills to be insightful and creative, versatile and resilient.
Students can access our industry partner network to gain practical and relevant experience and we offer specially designed programs that support them to reach their academic and personal potential. These include programs for high achievers and those who need extra support as well as specialised mentoring programs and initiatives that provide practical and relevant professional experience and internship opportunities.
- The KickStart program: Students attain an overview of the course before classes commence to prepare them for study.
- First step mentoring: First-year students are paired with an academic mentor and a third-year peer mentor.
- Lucy mentoring: Female students are paired with a mentor who is an industry professional.
- Peer-assisted learning (PAL): Students who need extra help learn from their high performing peers.
- Professional and Community Engagement (PACE): Students gain real-world experience by undergoing an activity in a professional environment.
