graphic depicting squares in corporate colours.Star Design Element

Star element samplesThe third design element that can be used in University publications is that of the stylised star, within which is the star Sirius and the lighthouse.

The element, if used, must include all three features. The star design element may be used in addition to the banner and the logo, but does not form, and should not be used as, a replacement for either of these elements.

It is not mandatory to reproduce the stylised star element in University promotional material, publications or on the web.

The star is most commonly used as a watermark or background element, particularly on University letterhead and business cards. The star is always on an angle, rotated at 30 degrees clockwise.
