use of banner with incorrect wording. From its inception, Macquarie has prided itself on being "Australia's Innovative University", both pedagogically and in research, and also in terms of academic decision-making and support structure. The innovative quality is a key factor for Macquarie's comparative advantage and distinctive edge in the 21st century. According to AUQA, "there is no doubt that this slogan is well entrenched in the hearts and minds of the Council, management, staff and students of Macquarie, providing a clear, high-level sense of direction". Placement and colour of the banner

The banner, with the words "Australia's Innovative University", must appear on the front cover of all University publications.

Within the banner, the wording can be ranged left or centred vertically. The banner can be located vertically on either the right or left side of the publication. As an alternative, it can also be run horizontally across a publication.

Any colour can be applied to the banner to incorporate a specific design of a publication. It is incorrect for any other wording to appear in the banner, either with, or instead of, "Australia's Innovative University".

The appropriate usage of “Australia’s Innovative University” has been incorporated into the design of the web templates. Versions of the banner in the Corporate and Divisional colours are available.
