2017 AFR Higher Education Awards

Applications have opened for the annual Australian Financial Review (AFR) Higher Education Awards. These distinguished awards recognise contributions from the higher education sector to Australian prosperity and quality of life.

Interested? Speak to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (PVC), Learning and Teaching office or your faculty AD, Learning and Teaching by 21 April 2017 for assistance or if you intend to apply.

The University can submit only one application in each of the categories, 1-9 while there are no limitations on the Lifetime Achievement Award.

All University applications must be submitted by the PVC Learning and Teaching office. The deadline for submissions is Tuesday 30 May.

The 10 categories for AFR Awards in 2017 are:

  1. Community Engagement Award
  2. Education Technology Award
  3. Emerging Leader Award
  4. Employability Award
  5. Equity and Opportunity Award
  6. Facilities Innovation Award
  7. Industry Engagement Award
  8. International Education Award
  9. Learning Experience Award
  10. Lifetime Achievement Award.

National applications will be assessed by an independent panel of eminent higher education veterans.
