Community physio program seeks volunteers

The University’s Doctor of Physiotherapy Health and Wellbeing Collaboration (HAWC) Program is calling for staff and adult community participants of all ages with any current medical problems for its March–June session.

The HAWC Program helps students develop skills in assessing and measuring problems. When competent, students can advise on issues like mobility aids, risk of falls, or appropriate exercise. Students are supervised by Macquarie University physiotherapy staff at all times.

Assessment findings may be used to suggest exercise and physical activity programs tailored to the volunteer’s health goals and needs.

If you would like to be involved, fill in an expression of interest.
