The coldest months are June and July (with an average maximum of 17°C) and the hottest months are January and February (with an average maximum of 26°C). Summer days can sometimes reach 40°C.

If food is your passion, take your pick of Sydney's many cafes and small restaurants. They serve up food from around the globe including Indian, Thai, Mexican, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Spanish just to name a few.

The greatest outdoors

Sydney has over 100 beaches on its east coast as well as the breathtaking Blue Mountains to the west. Add to that the national parks, the vineyards of the Hunter Valley and the slopes of the Snowy Mountains that are all within five hours drive, and you’ve got plenty to do!
