Faculty of Science and Engineering Academic Achievement Entry Scholarships

Eligibility: New undergraduate student (completed Year 12 in 2017) with an ATAR of 90 or more.

Value: Varies $2000 - $5,000

Application: Applications for 2018 will open 19 August 2017. CLOSING ON 1 DECEMBER 2017

Eligibility:       

  • Be a Year 12 student completing their Year 12 HSC* studies in 2017 and applying for tertiary study in 2018 through UAC (*NSW HSC or Australian matriculation equivalent);
  • Achieve an ATAR entrance ranking score equal to or greater than 90;
  • Meet any other criteria required in your UAC application into the relevant Macquarie program;
  • Be available to commence studies at Macquarie University in Semester 1, 2018;
  • Have the Macquarie Degree Program listed as one of your top 2 UAC preferences at the post-ATAR results December 2017 UAC offer round;
  • Have completed and submitted the scholarship application form; and
  • Meet all ongoing eligibility criteria prior to receiving second payment in session 2, 2018 (including satisfactory academic progress). 

Support Scholarship of $5,000 (renewable for each year of undergraduate degree subject to conditions)

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) OR Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) with the Bachelor of Laws/Arts/Commerce/Science (Double degree program)

Support Scholarship of $2,000 (renewable for each year of undergraduate degree subject to conditions)

  • Bachelor of Medical Science
  • Bachelor of Environment OR Bachelor of Environment with the Bachelor of Laws (Combined Degree program)
  • Bachelor of Marine Science
  • Bachelor of Information Technology - Games Design and Development
  • Bachelor of Advanced Science

Commencing Women in STEM Scholarships of $5,000 (for one year)

  • Bachelor of Medical Science
  • Bachelor of Environment OR Bachelor of Environment with the Bachelor of Laws (Combined Degree program)
  • Bachelor of Marine Science
  • Bachelor of Information Technology - Games Design and Development
