ISCTE Business School is a unique institution! The distinguished faculty and programs are the most visible components of its value proposition. Its reputation, for being the Portuguese Business School of reference is continuously reinforced by awards, prizes and international accreditation. This program offers Macquarie University students the opportunity to spend a European summer studying business in the beautiful coastal city of Lisbon, Portugal. This is a study abroad (fee-paying) program.
ISCTE organise cultural and leisure activities every day during the Summer School, such as visits to museums, local football matches, surf lessons, parties etc. On weekends, students can take day visits to the most interesting places in Lisbon, or take 2 – 3 day trips to other cities in Portugal.

Accommodation: ISCTE offer accommodation in the complete package (see “Fees Due to ISCTE”). This Residence could be: Professor José Pinto Peixoto Residence with double rooms (with a bathroom and, for each student, a single bed, a wardrobe and a desk), kitchen, laundry, sitting room with TV, games room and internet access; Alfredo de Sousa Residence or Lumiar Residence, both with double rooms, shared bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, computer lab, study room, sitting rooms with TV and internet access.

To be eligible for this program, you must meet the following criteria:
- A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher (varies each program),
- Completion of at least 12cp at the time of application. Enough credit points remaining to complete the program,
- Relevant units remaining in your degree to complete designated subjects at ISCTE,
- Comply with the eligibility criteria outlined in the Student Exchange Policy.
- Enrolled into an undergraduate degree at Macquarie University

Application Fee and Payment Options: For all exchange programs (semester and short term), there is a compulsory application fee. For more information and payment options please refer to the Cost and Funding Website.

Insurance: It is a requirement of the exchange program that all students must purchase their own travel insurance to cover them for the duration of their entire journey overseas. More information will be given to students upon acceptance.
Program Costs: As a study abroad student you pay tuition fees to host university. As such, you will not be enrolled at Macqaurie for the duration of your overseas studies. Program cost are listed on the host university website. You must also always be prepared for unexpected expenses, and should consider how you will be dealing with the expenses of your exchange before you leave your home country. Prior to departure, you will need to save sufficient funds to cover all of your expenses for the duration of your exchange. Some costs to consider include: airfares, students visa (if required), travel health insurance, accommodation, food, additional travel, entertainment, textbooks, incidental expense. If you wish to work while you are away, it is important to note that work rights for international students vary from country to country.
