National Taiwan University (NTU) is the prestigious flagship university of Taiwan. NTU is a national co-educational research university located in Taipei, Taiwan. Its 1,086,167 m2 main campus is located in Taipei's Da'an District. In addition, the university has 6 other campuses in Taipei and elsewhere, with a total area of 345,830,000 m2.
The university was founded in 1928 by the Japanese administration during the Japanese colonial era and was then known as the Taihoku Imperial University. After World War II, the government of the Republic of China resumed the administration of the University, reorganizing and renaming it National Taiwan University on November 15, 1945. NTU has 11 colleges, 54 departments,107 graduate institutes, and eight master's and PhD programs, which range from the natural sciences to the humanities, society, and the arts. It offers more than 7,800 courses each semester, placing it tops in the nation in terms of both breadth of academic fields and volume of programs. Students who study at NTU become a part of the nation’s richest center of learning and are given the opportunity to receive a diverse, superlative education.
This Short Term Exchange Program is called “NTU Summer Plus”. Plus Academy Summer + Programs enable students from all over the world to gain first-hand experience, college credits, and cultural exploration – all within an international setting based on academic and personal growth. With programs that cover topics from Mandarin Chinese to agriculture, biotechnology, leadership, and arts, Summer Plus is sure to have something for everyone. Not only do these programs allow students to expand their cultural experiences, they give them the tools to succeed in diverse environments by encouraging travel, dialogue, and hands-on experiences in several fields of study.
NTU will provide scholarship opportunity for C3 Chinese Classics & Culture: Full program-fee waivers will be offered to several applicants, based on merit.

To be eligible for this program, you must:
- A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher (varies each program),
- Completion of at least 12cp at the time of application. 18cp to go abroad, Enough credit points remaining to complete the program,
- Comply with the eligibility criteria outlined in the Student Exchange Policy.

Application Fee and Payment Options: For all exchange programs (semester and short term), there is a compulsory application fee. For more information and payment options please refer to the Cost and Funding Website.
Logistics Fees: No fee
Insurance: It is a requirement of the exchange program that all students must purchase their own travel insurance to cover them for the duration of their entire journey overseas. More information will be given to students upon acceptance.
Program Costs: This is a fee-paying program, all students must pay the program fee under the instruction of the host university. Additionally, you must also always be prepared for unexpected expenses, and should consider how you will be dealing with the expenses of your exchange before you leave your home country. Prior to departure, you will need to save sufficient funds to cover all of your expenses for the duration of your exchange. Some costs to consider include: airfares, students visa (if required), travel health insurance, accommodation, food, additional travel, entertainment, textbooks, incidental expense. If you wish to work while you are away, it is important to note that work rights for international students vary from country to country. For further information about your visa restrictions please contact the consulate or embassy of your host country.
