In most cases you’ll apply via the Universities Admission Centre (UAC). UAC manage applications for the majority of universities in NSW.
Depending on which degree you want to enrol in, the application process can be done in just five steps:
Step 1: Find a degree
Whatever your passion, Macquarie has a degree that will suit you. View our degrees where you can search by interest, name and by type of degree.
Step 2: Apply
Apply for your chosen course through UAC. You can list up to 9 preferences to be considered for each UAC offer round. Find out more about how preferences work.
Step 3: Upon receiving your offer
Several rounds of UAC offers take place before the beginning of session. Depending on your circumstances you will be eligible for certain rounds. Non-school applicants will be eligible for every offer round, however UAC may need to wait for results of previous studies to be processed before your application can be assessed and an offer is made.
High school students are eligible from the UAC Main round offers on 20 January 2016. Macquarie also makes offers in earlier rounds from 3 December for some early entry schemes. View the list of High School Student dates for this breakdown.
Steps 4 and 5 : Accept your offer and enrol
Congratulations and welcome to Macquarie! Next steps are to accept your offer and complete your enrolment online.
If you didn’t receive your preferred offer to study at Macquarie University there may be another way in to your dream degree. View our range of entry programs to find another way in.
UAC releases an annual guide at the end of July. It's a helpful read and has everything you need to know about applying to university. Most Year 12 students will receive a UAC Guide from their school. It's also available from the Co-op, direct from UAC, large newsagencies and TAFEs.
