Diplomas

Our programs are specifically designed to help you attain the proficiencies required for admission to a Macquarie University bachelor degree.

Macquarie University International College Programs

The College offers four diplomas, a standard foundation program and intensive program which are designed so that upon successful completion you can go straight from your pathway studies into your chosen Macquarie University bachelor degree. Located on campus at Macquarie University, you will be a Macquarie student from day one.

The programs are taught in seven-week blocks called terms. You will study two units each term, allowing you to deeply engage with your chosen area of interest. You will receive personalised attention through our small class sizes with teaching and learning activities designed to improve your university level study skills and academic knowledge.

If you are trying to decide whether a standard foundation, intensive program or diploma program is right for you, academic advisers at the College can help. They will look at your qualifications and grades as well as your English language skills (if you are an International student), and discuss the best options with you or your nominated representative.

Diploma programs

If your English language and academic skills are close to those required for university entry, you may qualify for a diploma program. These programs are equivalent to the first year of a bachelor degree. If you are successful in your diploma studies, you can move straight into the second year of a bachelor degree at Macquarie.
