As media students at Macquarie you have the opportunity to combine your theoretical knowledge of media, community and content with important work experience with a number of undustry partners. Previous PACE students have worked with social and support groups, sporting communities, interest groups, charities, fan clubs and cultural clubs, volunteer projects, collectives, large corporate organisations and social networks.
Through PACE, Marketing student James Vidigal worked with the Cancer Council NSW and looked after the media requirements for their Run4Cure event in 2015. Over a number of weeks James looked after an editorial calendar, oversaw and wrote content for social and digital media and liaised with event volunteers to promote the event.
“The event was a great success. We were able to raise over $200,000 which is great because it’s going to go all towards helping cure children’s cancer,” – James Vidigal.
